Has anyone else received a message touting www.pistonheadsjobs.com? I did a search on PH and nothing came up, which is surprising. What is less surprising, however, is the content. The motorsport section has a wind tunnel tech job which looks genuine, but 2 more (a b2b marketing manager and "Fantastic franchise opportunities available" - this one appears to be in almost every subsection) which most certainly do not. Whoever edits it hasn't read the thread on what an Engineer is, because out of 5 engineering jobs, the wind tunnel tech appears again (they are at least looking for a professional), alongside 2 vehicle repair technicians, a workshop manager and a garage equipment installer.

Sorry if this sounds negative, it isn't meant to be (other than the annoying franchise advert). I do think it is a good idea, I am just surprised that it uses the PH franchise and I hadn't heard anything about it.

yup i got it and imediatly binned it. Either haymarket are sending emails unsolicited (i had requested not to recieve promotional material) or it is not kosher.

registered to Haymarket Media Group Limited, so guess ok, but as I do not work in the vehicle trade, of little use to me, I simply drive cars smile

Your profile has the "Tick this box to receive special offers, competitions and promotions from PistonHeads and selected companies. Please show your support for PH here." box ticked, which is why you got this email.

Do you want me to un-tick it for you so that you don't get sent any in future?

Hmm, I must admit that I checked my settings too, as I thought I had elected not to receive mail too. Oh well not to worry.

Brave move, starting up a job site in the current climate. Most of my clients are cringing whilst their job revenues fall flat on their arse. Still, decent choice of platform.
