Ted, its OK I understand the need for pop ups.

But, please, is there any way that they can be prevented from covering the daily bar, i.e home page bar that contains - date, members, reviews, calendar, links, forum, shop, - titles.

Its a real pain today, 7th Aug, as there isn't anyway of closing or moving the popup, you have to go to their site and then close the window. So, you can't just click on a PH title link (forum), you have to visit the advert site first.

Cheers

Pete

Doesn't sound like a PH popup I've seen. What's it advertising?

Im guessing its teds relocation of "click for list of ads".on the left of the yellow box is some more text if its two lines it pushes other text onto the grey boxes.
If its this Ted is working on it as we write(i think)

Yes, refresh moves onto the next advert.

There are some that extend over the two lines as mentioned,

one of them is Ride Advance etc www.ridedrive.co.uk/
Nick Whale sports cars, as I say there are many but not all pop ups do it.

Actually there are lots of them, racing green is another

Bit confused here.

Are you talking about the banner ad at the top of the page?

Ted,

I'm not complaining as such, but it does get frustrating when refresh brings up another advert that agian covers the grey link line.

Just tried in on another PC on my desk, Nestscape very old version 4.76 it does the same.

I've noticed it today, but haven't visited PH since aprox 17:00 on Tuesday 5th.

Ted, I think its the scrolling news items on the top of the page below the banner. If the initial news item is more than one line it overlays your menu bar.

Not a problem - I do understand there are some teething issues with the change I made the other day.

Are you talking about the home page or Gassing or both?

I have tweaked the home page which might help.

Ted,
Looks good, I think I've worn out the refresh icon on my browser, my what a lot of advertisers you attract.

Any chance of someone posting an image of this problem as I can't reproduce it?

If I get it i will, but as an extra note the TVR Centre Barnet's banner doesn't have the yellow bar below it at all. That's the only one I think though

This is as close as I've seen, where the news scroller has been moved down partly over the menu bar. Longer news items will push it further down though.
