Remembering Preferences and new Forums?

A couple of things...
1. If I log out from PH and then log back in, Some of my preferences are remembered and some aren't. For example the Forums I like I remembered but the information on members (no. of posts, length of time) isn't. Any chance of a quick fix?
Also is there any chance of being notified of the new forums (fora?) when they arrive or have them set to appear for everyone as default? I occasionally miss the new ones (Mercedes and BNG for example) until I go and check my preferences - which doesn't happen that often.
