Posting

I just posted a long (for me) reply and ran into a couple of problems.
I wanted to preview my reply and I got a timeout notice.
I checked the Rules of Posting and also got a timeout notice.
I also have a little trouble with the size of the posting window. I find it hard to develop my arguments because I think the window is small. (It has just occured to me that i can probably write another program and cut and paste. Right?

Can't comment on the timeouts unfortunately as that could be anything between your PC and our server.

Point taken about the size of the posting window though.

You can write in notepad and past it in if you prefer.

I have also noticed that if I leave my PC for some time then go back and click on a topic I get a notice saying; 'The Document has No Information', or something similar.
I have to reload PH.
I am using Mozilla 1.5

That's not one of the browsers I've been testing with. I will install a copy though and check the site over.

I'm using Mozilla 1.3, and the warning "The Document contains no data" pops up, when connection to the requested site is impossible. The reason could be your computer, the connection, or the server.

Best you downgrade to somthing stable, as 1.5 must be pre-Alpha.

Woops. My mistake. I have version 1.4b which should be the final. Known as Mozilla 5. After the 1.4b final was released all subsequent nightlies are know as 1.5.
I started with 1.4a and have had few problems. Running on Win XP.
Perhaps some of my problems stem from Ted tinkering with PH in the middle of the night which is the morning here in Perth. We are about 8hrs behind.
Come to think of it. When do you sleep Ted?
