Last Post Bar

Like the last post bar, makes the gassing station even more user friendly, however I seem to get on some threads and not others - is this right, or am I missing something ?

answers on a postcard etc ...

This seems fine today Ted, did you do anything or was it my antique laptop again?

Haven't changed anything although there are certain circumstances in which it doesn't appear (such as between the first post and the first reply). I'm still working on it.

Don't suppose you can extend that to put the bar at the last post you accessed IN THAT THREAD? Or is that how it works now?

One day maybe, but I can't afford to chew up the space recording it at that level of detail.

Okay, I've found a means of doing this. Edit your profile and select the 'Thread Tracking' option and it will record the fact that you've viewed individual threads.

getting 2 bars - "no new posts since you last read this thread" after 1st message, then the "new" bar at the correct place.

I just shut down browser and came back again, still the same. Seem to get that "no new posts" bar after the first post of everything.

PS I do most of my "creative" stuff late night too. I reckon the creative part of you brain stays awake longer than the motor part, so you start having great ideas but you screw up making them work!

PPS I can see you reasoning - too much storage required, so use cookies and use the punters storage instead! Nice lateral thinking Ted!
