Ted, have you considered separating the private and trade ads? There seems to be many more trade ads than there had been in the past (not a criticism, I'm sure their sponsorship has a lot to do with keeping the site open).
Yep, I will introduce a filter. Things have taken off fairly quickly in that section recently.
