I often seem to get some threads appearing extra-wide on my browser. This means that I have to scroll to the left to get all the message text on the screen, and I then can't see who's written it. It only happens on perhaps 1 thread in 20, for a guess, and sometimes on one page of a thread and not another.

What's going on? Is this to do with my system setup?

It's not you John. It usually happens when someone posts a load of smilies without any spaces in between.
