Ted: you are logged on today as Dr. Alex.

Just thought you might like to know.....
..... or is there something we should know.

And my favourite (true) fact on this subject:
The Schizophrenia Association's offices in Kingston has two door bells.

OK, so who's got the balls to change their username to PetrolTed while it's available?

If any one spots a suspiciuos looking character with an obviously fake ID then give me a call because we suspect he is another of those illegal asylum seeker immigrant types.

Hate to spoil every ones fun but, as I'm repeatedly told by my Psycologist sister, Schizophrenia has nothing to do with multiple personality disorder.

I can't remeber the details, but this is usually where I pause for breath and Joust dives in with a veriety of useful links on the broached subject......

Opps, I think it was me asking Ted to change my login that has got everything messed up.

I had to change as the medical council have taken away my Dr status, due to an unfortunate incident concering the misuse of rubbergloves and sleeping tablets.

As he seems to be napping, I'll leap in with "Neuroscience for kids" (no, really).

http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/schiz.html

From this:

"First, let's discuss what schizophrenia is not. People who have schizophrenia do NOT have multiple personalities. In 1911, Eugen Bleuler, first used the word "schizophrenia." Although the word schizophrenia does come from the Greek words meaning "split" and "mind," people with schizophrenia do not have split personalities. This misunderstanding has caused many people to misuse the term schizophrenia. The "split mind" refers to the way that schizophrenics are split off from reality; people with schizophrenia cannot tell what is real and what is not real."

Lost more info on the page.

Really good flim.

I might have to get that out again sometime as it is hard enough to follow without the being distracted by a fresh new ladyfriend (as was the case three months ago when we hired it.)

Nice to see "Sawah" from the labyrinth again. Seems she always gets edgey/victim (see requiem for a dream as well) parts these days. Deserves better
