system doesn't entirely remember me

The system doesn't remember me when I come back, so when I want to post I have to log in and then try to find the thread again.

Strangely, though, before logging in I can still access my profile etc. and it does tell me about the last access (but doesn't say "welcome back yum....." as it used to.

Can you sort this for me, Ted, or is it my IT incompetence as usual? (yes, I have ticked to box every time)

The system should ask you to log in occasionally (then click on the 'continue' link and it will take you back to the thread you wanted to contribute to).

If it never remembers you then it suggests you've got your browser removing cookies at the end of the session.

If I go straight to the home page and go to the members section, it remembers me, says "hello yum" and I can access / alter my profile etc, but i can't post on the gassing station

if i go straight to the gassing page, it knows that i was on the site at x.yz pm yesterday, but doesn't know who i am nor can i post until i log in.

I have tried logging in from different access points and the probem isn't solved.

if it is a (new) quirk with my machine, i'll have to learn to live with it. sorry to be a pain.

Sorry, there is something quirky about the login mechanism. I haven't had the chance to get to the bottom of it yet.

Just thought I would provide a little extra feed back.
This happens to me sometimes, like today I enter pistonheads at work and add to posts no problem, get home and it asks me to log in prior to posting a message. same thing happened before see previous post

It usually corrects itself after a couple of days so dont really worry about it

I'm still having problems. I have to go to the members' page, press login/register, it remembers me then (no password required), and then I go back to gassing.

I kept getting asked to login when i had a pee coo clearout cookies etc i logged in at gassing and readded gassing station to my favorites and deleted to old one and its worked
