PH Gassing Station Help

I've been thinking about this for a little time and the discussions on Gassing Station content and censorship have prompted me to put finger to keyboard.

I am convinced that quite a large number of Gassing Station users perhaps are not aware of all of the facilities available to them. Perhaps a 'help' link to some simple guidelines might assist users in getting more (of what they want) out of PH.

Prime candidates might be:
- how to hide/unhide forums
- ability to delete/edit/quote posts
- use of the search facility
- whats new/last 24/last 72 thread lists
- how to access other member information (for example just by clicking on the member name)
- how to post pictures & urls
- how to use smilies
- profile options
- how to use mates and bookmark lists

Now maybe I'm a deluded gassing station power user and nobody will read help even if its there, but at least everyone would have the option of the "RTFM" response.

What does everyone think? I'm happy to try writing a help page if it is generally felt it might be useful (and PetrolTed wants one).

We all went through the learning curve at some stage - let's help others on the ladder then we can all get along

I would also consider a link to Ted's Rant: "Knobby Motoring Words" as it could help those of us that are "non-UK" to understand what is being said

Ps Earnest if you like that you should try & get hold of a copy of Rogers profanasurus, which is produced by the Viz magazine people. Very very funny, well it is this side of the pond but I think the humour will travel well.
