Discussion
A long serving PH writer is leaving for pastures new and it occurred to me (as a long serving reader) that I didn’t have a clue who he was despite having read tons of his stuff!
When a PH article is discussed on General Gassing or wherever, the author’s byline does not travel with the original article.
I only access PH via the forums and so I have no idea who has written what or, indeed, who the writing team are.
Now maybe I am unusual in coming in via the tradesman’s entrance rather than the front door. But maybe I’m not.
So it would be good if the author’s name stayed with articles when they reach the forums.
Cheers.

I would second this. Many times I have come direct to the forum to read an article to read congratulations/vilification of the author's purple prose/butchery and wondered at how others knew the name of the author. Was their writing so distinctive? I hadn't realised their name was on the original!
It would be nice to know who to praise/pillory in the forum though. Unless the writers prefer it this way...
