The members only (ooh-err missus) video doesn't work for me.

Clicking the link brings up what appears to be an (incomplete) RealPlayer browser window. When the 'play' button is pressed it produces an error dialogue from Real saying that a software update is required to play the content (which it seems to think is 'asp'). Having 'contacted Real' it then tells me that no update is available for this content.

Get a dialog popping up saying:

You have chosen to download a file from this location.

unlock.asp from www.pistonheads.com

Then only provides an option to save it, most weird

It opened up as text in visual interdev for me!

Are you setting the content type for the download in unlock.asp?

Well spotted Tuffer. You're spot on. Forgot about that. Was created on a Mac and I'm still getting to grips with this video stuff.

Try www.pistonheads.com/members/unlock.asp?filename=5733-1.avi

Quicktime: OK, but monochrome.
AVI: works fine.

Damn those Real people....

Ted, that still downloads the file as unlock.asp, which consequently opens in Visual Interdev on my machine.

The unlock.asp file is trying to open itself in Frontpage and is attempting to crash my machine.

It you do a "Save As" and change the filename from 'unlock.asp' to 'westfield' (or whatever) then it downloads and runs just fine.
