Since governments (not just here) seem to be virtually forcing the public into EVs, not dissimilar to the way they forced many into diesels not so many years ago by punitive tax measures. What is this site going to be called when they have eliminated most ICEV/Pistons?
There wont be that many pistons around, except for a few classic cars, and a few die-hards, who don't want to be pushed by governments where they don't want to go.
Especially if, in a few years time, governments discover, they have got it all wrong, and they change their minds (again) and try to get us all into something else, just like they did when they `discovered' that particulate emissions from diesels were a problem.
One of the ironies of all this, is that even small low range EVs are expensive, but the EVs that have even a half decent range, are ridiculously expensive, and surprise! surprise! fall foul of the governments expensive vehicle tax. Add to this the introduction of VED for EVs scheduled to be introduced next April at 410 pounds a pop, and the possibility, that just like with diesel particulate emissions, the government will introduce an EV tyre particulate emissions tax (just to keep things fair) it looks like the future for commutator heads, is going to be quite different from where we are now.
As always, interesting times lay ahead!
