Batch image uploading
Discussion
I have several topics I would love to run a thread on, westfield engine swap, house renovation, even an update on my lawn improvement. But to add even a small handful of pictures takes ages, because you have to do each one individually via thumbsnap (still in beta) ruddy mess of a thing. Pain in the ass on a computer, utterly unworkable on a phone.
Please please please pleaseeeee please, can we have a modern fit for purpose image uploader?

I would generate content and view the adverts and classifieds, just like you. More content, more usage, more ad revenue, more traffic to the classifieds.
However if it was included as part of a donation/subscription premium user feature I would tentatively value it at something like £3/month or £40/year.
For the record, I run a fairly substantial forum, which runs modern pay to use software, with built in image uploader, full free access to all members. No advertisements.
Running costs for the site are a few thousand a year, which we easily make back through voluntary donations. Images re hosted 'remotely' using AWS.

No, you're not, it would be nice if it could be improved. But you've always got the option to upload the images to a different site (I use Postimage, until they start wanting money), many of which offer the option to provide multiple image tags in one hit.
It does make you wonder how long the existing image upload facility will remain in "beta" test.

I notice PH is now hosting images locally, rather than on thumbsnap servers, which at least means I can upload and view images on the works computer which previously blocked access to thumbsnap.
Not holding my breath, but maybe this is a small step in the direction of modernising the image uploader?
