Why is the search function so rubbish?

Try and search for a thread, a well known, popular thread, using the PH search function and you would get a better result by asking the cat.

I agree with the OP. The search function is useless.

I can't remember where I saw it but I thought PH basically said when you want to search for something on PH use google with Pistonhead as the first search word.

That is, we have a search function but it is so rubbish that you are better using Google.

I use google if I’m looking for something specific. Search function is good for a laugh though.
