In the past couple of days I've noticed on the front page of Pistonheads that no adverts are displayed across the top or down the right hand side.

Any reason? Just that it looks a bit bare?

Yes, it's because everybody has bookmarked Gassing Station, and takes the direct way, without viewing the frontpage.
Rumors say, that only 32 people viewed the start page last week

to be serious:

cannot see the ads with Mozilla 1.1 on Linux and with IE5 on Win2k. Both the same - no difference.
