Just had three emails saying my adverts are now live which aren't mine, I've reported all three then deleted them and changed my password.

Anything else I should or could have done?

Possibly someone has created an email address specifically for advertising on here and then has forgotten/mistyped it and it's your email address they put in mistake. Although you say you deleted them, it was your password as well?

Never used the ads but was it a link in the email that allowed you to edit/delete them, or did you have to log in?

They were in my profile as my live adverts, three cars all priced too cheap with different, badly spaced email addresses in the description to get more information.

Because they were live in my profile I was able to view and edit/delete them

Hi addz86,

I've forwarded your issue onto the team and will come back to you once I know if there is anything more you can do!

Thank you.

Our advice would be to change your password (which you've already done) and change it on any other website/account where you use the same one.

Thanks!

If you haven't done so already I'd suggest read this thread.

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

If you have used your old PistonHeads password anywhere else I would suggest changing it, and absolutely ensuring that the same password is not used at whichever email account you have associated with your PistonHeads account.
