Hi
Do you think you could add something to display moderator's nickname to messages where they remove/edit/block users. Like e.g.
instead of
"You have been denied access to this topic."

you could have same with mods name in brackets
"You have been denied access to this topic. (by Erich_Mielke)"

The way it is at the moment it allows mods to do as they please with no responsibility for their actions. Most of the times based on who they are best mates with.

There are ways for the powers that be to see which moderator has done what actions. If you have a problem with a specific moderator, probably best to take it up with JD (james.drake@haymarket.com)

Or maybe just post in accordance with the rules of the forum?

Just an idea, like ...

Anyway, as eybic has said:

Can you do me a favour and go here

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

and tell me why I was blocked from that thread and the person who called me a c blank blank t (so technically who broke the rules) wasn't. Or is there a certain number of posts beyond which one can do however they please without being bothered by the forum Polizei?

When someone calls you offensive names, the correct course of action is to use the report button, not retort in kind bigly.

THIS!

When I come to power in a bloody and needlessly violent coup. I shall round up all the Tarmacing firms and set out a new policy.

If you want council work. You have to guarantee your work for a MINIMUM of 5 years. If a repair fails and a new pothole appears. You have to fill it again for free in under a week. And the 5 year is reset to the new repair. If it fails 3 times in a row. You are banned from any council work for 5 years.

Given how much work these companies make from that lucrative public purse. Might make them a bit more interested in work quality.
You ignorance/lack of understanding and your willingness to talk ste and blame whoever it suits you to certainly qualifies you for public office.

Big Al.

You were banned from the thread for the use of foul language.
I would have thought that anyone slapped for using that sort of terminology on any forum would be advised to keep their head below the parapet and take heed of the warning!

And just for clarity:-

"All matters relating to conduct in the forums and compliance with these posting rules will be determined by the moderators under guidance from PistonHeads HQ. We will take action if these rules are broken so make sure you read them carefully."

So as already stated "Don't breach any of the rules of posting" and you won't know we exist.
