Search Function. Useless. I suspect this has arisen before. The Forum search function is absolutely useless. The Forum content now is pretty large, and it does contain some very useful stuff. But finding it is impossible. Absolute necessity it’s given a serious overhaul now.

It could be more straightforward and friendly, but it usually turns up what what you look for.

I think the way the results are returned isn't logical, but its the same "not logical" as the classifieds so it's consistent.

I find it's easier to search from google and suffix Pistonheads to get the results I want.

Tried hard. Never been able to understand it or get what I'm lookin for. Surely a search function is pretty standard stuff these days. Bung in search string, up pops results.

Agree - but the folks in Haymarket who court feedback or respond to these threads seem to ignore it for whatever reason. The classifieds are still a befuddling thing to use, defaulting to tick all cars from a manufacturer? Default to order them by newest first? Showing a list of manufacturers that covers 10's of brands that have no vehicles for sale? Baffling.

Improving Search is a project which is currently on the roadmap. I do not know when this will be ready, except that it will not be before the end of the year.
