Have to press back 3-4 times when browsing the classifieds

When browsing the classifieds I use the back button on my mouse to get to the previous page but now find I have to press the button at least 3 or 4 times. I assume this is because of the way adverts are displayed on the page. This started off as minor annoyance but has got worse and worse as the amount of advertising on the classifieds increases. I understand you need the advertising revenue but when I press back I'd like to see the previous page not the same page with the previous advert.

Thanks for your feedback. Does this occur on a specific page or does this happen across all of the classifieds? Any other information you can give to help me reproduce this would be gratefully received, e.g. which browser you are using?

It happens all across the classifieds.

For reference. I'm running Windows 10 and it only happens using IE or Edge. With Chrome the back button behaves exactly as you would expect. To repeat the issue browse the classifieds. Pick a car and then an advert and to get back to the master list of manufacturers I have to press the back button 5 or 6 times.

Shame because it completely ruins the experience.

Agreed - whole site is ruined by adverts and promoted articles in the news timeline. Haymarket seem to be a we to the dollar when it comes to advertising revenue and don't care about the audience who actually make the site worth advertising on!!!

Thanks for your response. I can replicate the issue now and can appreciate how frustrating this must be for viewing the classifieds. I don't have a solution for you at this moment but the issue is under investigation.
