URLs - MyStuff vs in thread

Pretty sure this has been around for years, but it must bug more people than just me.

The urls that link to a thread in MyStuff are subtly different to those that are generated within the thread. The result is that urls in MyStuff don't show as previously visited, even though you may have browsed that far in a thread. Could they be updated to use the same format, and logic for positioning?

My stuff URL:

In thread URL:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=210&t=1269217&mid=46858&i=9800&nmt=Sean+Connery+Joke+Thread+%28Vol+7%29&mid=46858

I must need my eyes tested. I can't see any difference between those two.
