Clickable links in forum text

I only noticed this this evening, but when browsing the forums, certain parts of the text posters have written are highlighted in blue, and are a clickable link - the model names of cars, or businesses - which then redirect to the relevant page in the classifieds for the car in question, or the page of the business mentioned.
I can't help but find this somewhat grating, and a further cheapening of PH as a whole. What attracted me to the site to begin with was the unfussy cleanliness of the content layout, and a minimum of pushy advertising nonsense. It just seems that as time goes on this is being further and further eroded, and I'm finding myself looking elsewhere as a result.
Having adverts throughout the site itself is fine, it is a business after all, but in my opinion having links in poster's text that they don't themselves intend to be there is a step too far. What users contribute to the forums has a value all of it's own, the greatest asset this site has, and trying to further monetise this by inserting advertising links within the text written by those users is galling, and disrespectful to those taking time to contribute towards this site, and the content that brings the custom here.

Doesn't seem to do this for me, are you sure you haven't picked something up? There's a myriad of malware that does stuff like that.

/edit, seems not. Weird how it doesn't do it for me. Can't complain mind.

Ahh, I see it's because PH had logged me out since this afternoon, and that it has been addressed in an earlier thread. Still think it's a bloody dreadful idea though.
