PH is first site that makes me think AD-BLOCKER!

Try reading it in the U.S. There are videos starting automatically on every page and even if you pause them they start playing again when you scroll. Unusable. Shark truly jumped on the advertising

There is two things I've noticed. I went in a decathlon the other day for the first time ever I paid in a card. I never googled decathlon or what I bought beforehand yet decathlon adverts are now everywhere also I spent a while in hospital recently I keep getting adverts for blood pressure minitors and st like that. Who the fk is selling all this info.

Did you write on facebook that you were in the hospital, or even text any friends to tell them? Various apps (I think facebook included) have access to your text messages/phonebook/images and all sorts so they will read your texts and then target adds based on that info.

No I didn't actually I didn't want it known I was in there. I only post pics of dogs on Facebook anyway.

It's weird only thing I can think was using the card every day in the whs in the lobby. I did send a few texts on the iPhone

I activated the Windows built in ad blocker a couple of weeks ago an this site is now far more pleasant to use.

What has shocked me though is that my data usage has reduced by a third!

The site looks quite good with an ad blocker running. It's when you view it on a different machine you realise what a pigs arse has been made of trying to integrate the ads throughout the site.

Ad blockers are now available for iPhone. Think just on Ios9.

Funnily enough the main pistonheads site just doesn't even work anymore with it on

I've got adblocker on my PC and I never get ads. The same can't be said for my ipad and iphone though as adblocker doesn't seem to work on them or if it does I've not got the right version.

33 trackers according to Ghostery and a choice of videos about an Audi RS3 together with a list of foods not to eat before bedtime. You aren't missing much (unless you like Audis, in which case you're missing absolute stloads.

Ad Block Plus is one of the first things that goes on to any new install, haven't seen a single ad yet (though I occasionally see the odd chunk of white space in the forums though ). Seeing posts like this has made me wonder what all the fuss is about, though not enough to take a peek.

Back on topic, somebody posted a link yesterday to a website called howitisbuilt.com, or similar, which showed the technology behind the site. There was 40, yes, fourty, advert services running. I was going to count the monitoring/tracking ones as well, but couldn't be arsed after counting the ad ones.
