Slow and cumbersome doesn't even come close. Running chrome on a Galaxy Tab, every other site loads pages snappily and smoothly, scales well and are easy to navigate around.

PH on the other hand is slow to load, slow to scroll, laden with slow loading adverts, hangs at the slightest sniff of attempting to navigate to a new page and god forbid I should try and navigate around General Gassing.

WTF have you done to it?

And don't try to say is my fault, it's slow on my pc, slow on my phone, just slow, slow, slow. If it wasn't for the content, I wouldn't still be here. Even hardware rests don't solve the problem, so I know it's not a fault at this end.

All of the above, and each page scales differently on my screen. All of them.

It's st on my iPhone too. Takes more than one click to do anything and is generally crap. Never used to be like this!

OK on iPhone 6+ here. Few minor glitches but pretty consistent experience. Also ok on Safari OS X.

Bit rubbish on iPad.

It's been slow for a while for me. It's the adverts that slow down the site. I tend to wait a few seconds while the adverts load then start browsing.

Also woeful on a Galaxy Tab S using big blue or gti. Pressing the back button to get to My Stuff or What's New results in the page hanging for about 15 seconds doing eff all.

Garbage.

It's a total and utter disgrace.

I'm constantly having to log back in on the desktop site even though I never signed out in the first place.

Then, despite the old mobile site being the only thing about PH that was actually reliable, what happened? They got rid of it..!

Despite mobile being so key as a means of accessing and browsing the internet these days, the mobile site is - as has already been said before - woeful! Did nobody test it prior to launch? I'm using the GTI skin on Android and it's especially slow but most annoying is that when using the forums, when I click on a topic, it always takes me to the first rather than last page of that topic. Who thought that was a good idea? Crazy. GTI? More like Austin Allegro!

A month (ish) on from the loss of the mobile site and it's still dire. Slow, glitchy, defaults to page one in threads.... these points have all been raised many, many times in the mobile site thread.

We need a poll to see how it's affected people's usage. I do 95% of my browsing on mobile and subsequently visit PH a lot, lot less than before the redesign.

With the moderation issues, the pathetic advert plugging and the general stability of parts of the site, this place has really gone downhill as of late.

It seems that since it was acquired as a commercial entity, it has slowly been wrecked. It's a massive shame as I've spent a hell of a lot of time on here over the years.

The mods aren't even interested in responding to posts in this section of the forum.

Same for me of late, very slow, often pages won't load at all and I get the 'An error has occurred click here to return to homepage' so I click and then even that won't load.

To PH Towers,

I like it on here, it's the site I frequent most, any idea what's happening?

Well after the GTI shambles it got back to being usable. Still needs more clicks on Android phone than the Classic skin, but that's so small on an s3 mini that's not a realistic long term prospect.

Now it's just freezing and dumps me to home screen. Click on the app and it takes me back to where I was, only to freeze again a bit further down the same page, back to phone home screen. This time it goes to the login screen, back to thread reading rinse and repeat. It's getting worse had to login three times in the last ten minutes.

Waiting and seeing if it's a hang or delay on the hardware doesn't seem to do anything.

I have a Galaxy Tab S2 on the way and if it's as bad on that then I will be resorting to the laptop, and will be doing something resisted so far which is to install and ad blocker. The site has to get revenue somehow and ad blocking feels like not playing fair but I am sick of the thing hanging because of ad issues there.

Seriously get a grip. Rolling reminder actively looking for somewhere else and it will be your fault.

Edited to add, maybe it's childish but recently browsing to buy a magazine, seeing that it's a Haymarket publication has meant back on the shelf in a well f k you too moment. .

I've just switched to Firefox with Adblock. It's a lot better than it was on Chrome with no blocker for me.
I would say PH is impossible to use without some form of blocking software.
Nothing will get done by moaning here because the ads are revenue generating.
Try a blocker and report back your findings please.

How long until access with ad blockers is removed from this site?

Be nice and quiet if they do!
