Ted, is there any way to change your nickname without the need to re-register?

I just feel that my initials are a bit impersonal given the friendly nature of people here at PH

What? like Carzee?

My Mother would be distraught if she knew I was known as Flasher and even more distraught if she read the "loosest women" thread....

Under "My Profile", I get a text entry box for login name - I changed this, and my name changed from DanLingard to DanL. Needed to sign out and back in again, mind.

If you don't get the same option, I guess the details screen is knackered for me. Ted - should I be able to do this?

does it update all the old threads you've posted to?

Nope - I'm still listed as DanLingard on anything pre-change, but it does know that both DanLingard and DanL are the same person should anyone click on my profile, so the My Topics section retains its integrity.

Yep, you should be able to change your name but as said you may need to log out/in again afterwards. It won't update the name used to post old posts but it will correctly link to your profile.

You can fool the pooter so you don't have to log in. Change your e mail address in your profile to something else, then sign off for good. Then join up again with your new name choice and your proper e mail address. The pooter will now let you log over the top of your old passwod and e mail address.
