+1, easy to criticise unpaid volunteers.
We could always crowdfund the SAS to pay them a visit.
£1 gets you a bullet, £10 gets you a magazine, sell the video to the daily mail![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Nobody is criticising the unpaid volunteers who sort the mess after the event. We are criticising the inability of the paid developers who can’t stop the event in the first place. We could always crowdfund the SAS to pay them a visit.

@Scrump - On average how many new members sign up every day & post their first post?
If it is only a very few, can you not place a poster's first post in to a "Holding Cell" as it were until it has been authorised?
This would then also give you an easy to monitor list of the new member spammers' first posts . . .
That is really variable. Some days are quiet, other days sees a fair few new members joining and posting. If it is only a very few, can you not place a poster's first post in to a "Holding Cell" as it were until it has been authorised?
This would then also give you an easy to monitor list of the new member spammers' first posts . . .
The holding cell idea is a good one but even now we see spammers post a few "normal" posts before unleashing their spam.

Thing is not all the profiles are new, spotted a few that are 1-6 months old but have never posted before spamming.
I have seen first posts before which are obviously bot generated - suspect these are accounts being banked for later use. Gassing Station | Website Feedback | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
