Hello all,
Previous Porsche enthusiast, mi we to Ferrari and now looking to go sideways to a lambo huracan.

No im not made of money but like a lot of people I tend to spend a fair chunk of what I have on my car.

ATM I’m in a lovely coloured Ferrari California in Rosso Fiorano
My first Ferrari and although it’s what many see as the cheap entry level it’s still a lot of car for the money and I’ve loved having it.

So I’ve had an itch to get into a Ferrari 458 but whilst browsing I’ve come across a lot of lambo huracans.
These were not on my radar but I’ve got drawn to them and I’m now seriously looking.

I’m prepared to spend max 130k for a low miles example and I e seen one in black with a two tone leather interior which is Black and Tan
Has only 2 owners and under 8k miles 2915 reg.
it doesn’t have a sports exhaust.

Question is:
Would the tan interior put folks off come resale?
Is the sports exhaust a must have?
The car has full lambo service history but I’d prefer to follow on with a good indie to save money. Would this be a big issue down the line?
Car has axle lift, is this a good thing to have?
Are cab brakes standard. The car has these too?

Any other must haves, it’s a weekend car so not going to be doing mega mileage and feel that come 3 years time it will have possibly 12k miles and just 3 owners. Good idea?

Any other pointers welcomed.

And thanks for reading.

This is the sellers spec:

Plus his comments re the exhaust

The factory options fitted to our vehicle are as follows:

- CCB with red-painted brake calipers
- Bluetooth preparation (hands-free profile)
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Anti-theft system
- Electric and heated seats
- Navigation System
- Elegante interior (bicolour in leather)
- Roof lining and A-pillars in Alcantara for Full leather and Elegante interiors
- Optional stitching for Elegante (Terra Semele or Brown)
- Branding Package
- Suspension lifting system and magneto-rheologic suspension

Our car is fitted with a factory standard exhaust system.

A non-factory sports exhaust is available for the 580-2 variant “Accessori Originali Sports Exhaust system” however to our knowledge a factory ‘sports exhaust’ is not an option which was offered for this 4WD model.

In my humble opinion any aftermarket exhaust is not required for this model as the exhaust note is perfect as it is.

Thanks for the reply, my rationale for the huracan over a 458 is that my missus will also want to drive and I feel the lambo might be more of a car she can handle, she doesn’t like the Cali and I fear the 458 will be similar. She drove my Porsches easily and loved them.

Doesn’t have reverse camera so I’d be hoping to get something aftermarket for this (can this be done)
Doesn’t have the glass engine cover but. It a problem for me. I too like the slats.
I would be doing around 1500 miles a year so the 12k was the total mileage after 3 years. Car currently had 7.5k.
Servicing, I’d probably use Grimaldi in halstead who im told are rally good indie.
This car has just had a main dealer service too which is a plus.
Really tough one this tbh.
I keep going to and fro between the two.
I’d love a spyder in either car but my budget won’t stretch.
At 130 I’d have around 50k financed which is manageable but if I go for a spider it would start creeping to 75k.

I’ll post a link when I master how to.

And how many owners is too many.
I’ve seen one I like with 6 former keepers.
Big deal?

The car that I’m also considering has had 6 owners and will be due a service about now.
Seller is reluctant to pay for this as says it’s reflected in the price.
Lamborghini confirm that all other services are up to date and that the next one will cost 2800 which is intermediate.

This one has a few more miles but the spec looks pretty good inc glass engine cover and reversing camera.
Interested in opinions pls:

I’m not even certain main dealers can do a proper check.

I know it’s a bit basic but I usually rely on intervals on th service stamps and mot history.

I would have a pre purchase inspection whatever the case though.

Interesting, I have had Porsche diagnostics that read the time in different rev ranges but I wasn’t aware that you could find out if mileage altered.

I haven’t really seen any used huracans for sale with main dealers, whereas Ferrari seem to have a good selection of even older cars which is good but then their prices are a good chunk higher than private sales.

I’m thinking would a normal ppi let me know re mileage discrepancies, Lamborghini Chelmsford quote me 540 for a standard one and over a 1000 for a warranty inspection.

I’m now starting to feel I might grow to love my current California v8 a bit more with all of these variables😂

Noted re the advert in July but I don’t see that as unusual in any way as it’s done 600 ish miles since then which tells me that it didn’t sell so was used again or was it for sale at same dealership ?

It’s not the best I e seen and if I’m honest I have to admit I was being drawn in on price but with a service due/overdue it’s not as much of a bargain as I first thought.

I’m still thinking this one looks a lot more of a tidy car for the money

God question and I doubt that they were given it’s up for sale. I don’t feel it’s likely the seller or previous owner would have done this.

I’m also considering a 458 spider and found a low miles and good spec at what seems like a good price. Only downside is 8 former keepers.
Any opinions on this:
