Another Gallardo buying question

Hello all,
So after driving my G82 M4 for 2 years and £10k on endless exhaust mods to make it sound like a Gallardo/Murcielago, I gave up and sold it a couple of weeks ago. I have always been a yellow Lamborghini fan, from the days of Need for Speed 3 (wish I could get a ND4SPD plate). And current Gallardo prices are almost in my reach, by finance that is. I have read everything G here and watched every youtube video there is, including the diy ones, clutch replacement, tubi exhaust and cats install, etc. I even imagine the car in my driveway
I need a bit of help with the finance part just to get an idea how much apr and where I should go shopping. Although my bank would loan me 60k for car finance but they will not approve a Gallardo, so useless in that regard. Some generic finance examples on AT show an APR of 13
Any recommendations? PH recommends Charles and Dean and I havent spoken to them yet.
How does it work? Is it separate application for every car or an agreement in principle?
Also, I am not very familiar with the market but can I haggle with the dealers? How much room is there? I guess that depends on the car and the seller.

My ideal would be a 2006, yellow, coupe, manual, <40k miles. But beggars cant be choosers. The nero ones are my second, and I think £65k will be my max in terms of finance and monthlies (provided apr is <8%)

I would really love to have a manual and the early even firing V10.
But having spoken to one finance broker, it looks like finance would be difficult as most lender will only finance a car that is max 12 years old. And if I go for the Lp, the monthlies would get it out of my reach.

What have you replaced the M4 with?
I'm curious as you say you'd modded it and sold it, and they were an £80k car new so surely you've got a fair deposit?
If you were leasing it (can you modify leased cars? - I honestly don't know), then that would have been about £1k/month?
Buying a G is quite a leap, especially if you are stretching your finances to buy it. And as someone told me when I was looking at Italian cars, if you can't afford an expensive one, you certainly can't afford a cheap one
A couple of ideas - an R8 will give you a lot of the experience for a lower on-cost, probably more reliable, easier to finance, but every time you get in you'll feel a little tinge of disappointment that you didn't buy what you wanted. So another option is spend £8k or so on an S6 with a 5.2 V10, (or even a W12), so you can get the noise and see how you like the running costs. Then stick the £1k/month you're not spending on finance in a war chest to get a better deposit so when you do bite the bullet you'll have a better choice of cars and more finance options.

I bought a trusty Honda civic mk8 hatchback to start saving for the deposit for the G. I actually PCPd the G82 from BMW on launch day. 2.9% Apr and with an £3k deposit, I was paying £1014 a month. Kept the car and treated it as my own. Installed the m performance exhaust, wing/spoiler, sports cats, midpipe, other engine mods, etc, etc. More than 15k on the mods. Sold it and the buyer paid BMW direct. I did remove some mods to recoup some of the spend but not much.
I am a bit autistic and no offence to audis (gallardo is an audi) but I am only focused on getting the G. I could never like the H or even the aventador. I am a diablo/murci and G person.
So for me, honda civic as a daily and G for weekends. I do have some funds dedicated to repair the G in case of unforeseen circumstances. But I can't buy the car outright. I just can't afford it.
I have spoken to a few finance companies and none would touch a car older then 10-13 years. I have even measured my garage and it will barely fit the car and I will need to improvise a way to get out of the car as the door will not have the space to open. From my M4, I use to get out via the boot.

Great stuff - you really have thought about the pitfalls.Maybe you just need to get a bit more upfront money,[...]

Odd about finance on older cars, I'm pretty sure I saw finance offers on a Testarossa in Carrs in Exeter about 4 years ago.
And I assume the rear seats fold down on the M4

Personally, it sounds like this is all a big stretch for you.
I would perhaps pick a stepping stone car, circa £45k-£50k. Plenty about in that bracket, pick one that has already done it's depreciation, Lotus maybe? Buy well and keep saving.
Gallardo's aren't going anywhere. I'd rather buy the best example of a car I can afford, than the very bottom rung of a car I can't really afford.
Early Gallardo's may be into low £60k's but they can still hit you with some eye watering bills if you don't buy the right car.
Have you actually been in one? The doors are really wide and you need a good distance to be able to open them wide enough for you to be even able to slide out............

I guess I will keep looking for a G and in the meantime, work on a bigger deposit, hopefully soon.

The MOT history is quite interesting. Mileage drops a couple of times and also looks like one error where the mileage was recorded as 150k. Odometer tampered with? I dont know.
Also, there is an Arancio manual for sale but with over 60k mileage. But this one had a replacement engine. I have asked the dealer about this history and hopefully will get a reply after the holidays.
