EVO RWD insurance?
Discussion
Just bought a new EVO RWD to replace my LP610-4. My insurance company (Admiral) say that the new car is group 99 and so they won't cover it. They are telling me that the LP610 was group 50 and also that the new EVO 640-4 is group 50, but the RWD is 99? I've been on an Admiral multicar policy for a few years with Ferraris and my previous Huracan with no issues.
Has anyone a recommendation for a company to use? Has anyone had any similar issues insuring an EVO RWD?
thanks for any help!

thanks for the quick responses - I was told she had referred it to underwriting but that there'd be no-one there until Tuesday and, in the meantime, had to remove my car from the policy. Fingers crossed they come back at group 50 and things can stay the same, and I can drive it again.
I’ve got a problem with Admiral at the moment, I’ve got a dual policy with my E63S and my Performante, had an incident with my Performante where a van shed some boarding which did a little damage to my PPF on the front Splitter, I had a really lucky escape, the van owner has excepted liability and he also smashed a lorry window and wing mirror at the same time, I contacted Admiral to explain the situation at that I was not at fault and they’ve added £460 to my premium which I pay on DD.....the other insurance company has excepted responsibility and Admiral are adamant I have to pay the additional premium, I had a long conversation with Admiral today and I was f##king fuming......how can they add too my premium if I’m not at fault !!??

Their justification will be something along the lines of "people who have had prior claims are more likely to have future claims".... ie. Regardless of fault, the incident makes you higher risk from their perspectiverjg1966 said:

I remember reading something a couple of years ago (potentially on here) about someone who asked their insurance company to claim for future premium increases in a non fault accident... I randomly thought about it the other day and I'd love to know whether they managed to get anywhereSteven944 said:
I'm still waiting to hear back from Admiral - it's fingers crossed that they just group this (like other Huracans) in group 50 and this is just an anomaly! I just don't want the hassle factor of starting afresh with other quotes as Admiral have been good value thus far.
After speaking with their underwriters, they told me they won't. If you get a different response please let me know.Just to add I am having grief with this - NFU= 2 hours wasted with various people and uploading photos etc- they wont quote, then tried with First Point Insurance brokers who were recommended on here ages ago in an old thread, after 24 hours they came back with the issue from the more well known underwriters that they wont quote the Aventador - as it is not garaged.
(It is behind large wooden gates out of public view under a car port with 2 cars in front of it) You need to move 2 cars to get to it overnight.
Apparently the larger insurers want anything over £150k value to be garaged, no exceptions.
I don't want to resort to leaving my car in one of those car storage / security compounds as I use the car more than most, and is not really practical as I dont live in London where most of them seem to be.
Will be trying again tommorow - If anyone has a 150k plus value car that is not garaged, please post away,
Thanks in advance....
