Huracan Spec Advise

Hi All

Looking at buying a 580-2. Would appreciate any advice re any recommended spec to have and spec to avoid (e.g seats options).

If already discussed, any signpost link to thread would be appreciated.

Biggest must have is lift. Not sure if they all come with the rear camera but that was essential in mine too. Also, don’t go for one with a bland interior, they don’t resell well.

They'll persuade you to put in the DAB and SatNav (presuming they're still options) as 'everybody expects them'. Unequivocally both are utter rubbish - I think the DAB has worked for 20 mins over the 3.5 years I've had it and the SatNav doesn't show the traffic - and of course has been superseded by Google / Apple. This is going to probably be out of date advice, I appreciate - as I'm assuming that the car is set up for Android Auto etc...

But lift - always a lift and don't for one minute think otherwise!

Is the headroom much different to R8? I’m 6 2” and could just get helmet on in R8

It depends on your body shape - you know, your torso / leg proportions - and also Spyder or tin-top? I'm a similar size and have a Spyder. But, with the roof up its only just do-able, and no chance with a helmet on. That said, if its not raining the roof comes down anyway.

Unequivocally go and try it for size! Other than the crappy DAB, my only issue is the amount of headroom. Other than that, they' superb and completely bulletproof - never a thing gone wrong with mine, never missed a beat.

So after working through purchase options of LP580-2, BMW M4 GTS, Ferrari F12 & Ferrari 488, Ive gone with a 2017 Huracan LP580-2 in Nero Black.

I've had the all important (to me!) factory Race Exhaust upgrade fitted. A bit early to give a review as always aware of the "latest shiny toy" feeling you get, but have done 500 miles and been in Corsa mode most of the time.

Factory race exhaust is stunning, as expected, its been good fun at very moderate speeds.
