I have a fully original low mile 2007 gallardo spider that’s developed a fault with the rear wing. I have a fault in the dash and the wing doesn’t pop up at speed.. has anyone had this and if so what was the cure?

07 Spyder here too, though it’s up for sale so may not be with me much longer. I had the opposite problem once about 3 years ago - wing didn’t retract after high speed driving. But next time I started it the wing retracted and behaved normally. Never had an issue with it since. Italian gremlin I assume.

So if your issue has just happened, worth seeing whether it sorts itself out in the next couple of trips out before you get it looked at.

Thank you Spindoctor, unfortunately it’s persisted for the last few trips out and I’ve tried the basics such as disconnecting the battery etc.

Good luck with your sale and thanks for replying

All the best

on my car (MY08 coupe) there are two fuses..... a standard size fuse, port 2, and a small (backup, still 15amp) in port 27 (or 25, forgotten now)..... both fuses have to be out to get the spoiler to stay up, else all you get is the warning on the dash with the spoiler going up and down.....furious

Thank you 70proof, I’ll check all fuses tomorrow and I’ll get back to you but thanks for the heads up that there are 2! Crazy Italians!!!

Might be worth mentioning, the Gallardo wing doesn't raise that much, and is difficult to see it actually raise from the (low) driver's seat (and no manual activate button to check if it is working). Obviously, if you've got a warning light, that's a different matter...

When I first got mine, I thought the spoiler wasn't working but it was just that I couldn't see it working....Doh!
