Performante Front Plate
Discussion
Hi all, just looking at options for a front plate on my Perf Spyder. I'm intending (hoping?) to drive to France over the summer and I understand I'll need a front plate for that. Will a stick on plate be fine to satisfy the gendarmerie? Or am I really needing a proper bracket so the plate can be displayed at 90 degrees etc?
I've driven in France without a front plate on mine, with no hassle. That doesn't mean you won't get hassle of course, but should you be unduly worried then a stick on plate on the front will be fine. This is not least on the basis that its ok in the UK, and there's still that level of 'continuity' across the channel.
Oh, and I've never had any hassle at home in the UK either, 3 years into ownership.

I got one fitted to mine recently after the Brentwood police started clamping down on missing plates. The mount is a “quick release” job that is attached via a bracket bolted to the under tray using existing bolts, with neoprene pads to protect the carbon.
So if you want to take it off its a 10 second job, and your front is not obscured with ugly brackets.
The company who fits them is in Wickford, and they go by the name of Italian Supercar Solutions - look them up on Instagram @italiansupercarsolutions
Cheers

Have you got a pic of what the mount looks like when the plate isn't mounted to it? In other words, can you see the mount on the splitter? So if you want to take it off its a 10 second job, and your front is not obscured with ugly brackets.

The bracket come in 2 parts so you when you remove the front piece, the remaining part of the bracket is hidden under the car behind the rubber strip that protects the front splitter.
Fitting and removing the plate once the bracket is fitted takes seconds, and if you are local the guys In Wickford will fit for you while you wait, doesn’t need to go up on a ramp.
