50th anniversary gallardos
Discussion
You’ll miss every aspect of the gt3 after 2-3 weeks of a powerful Audi.
Thrash the porka to your lambo dealer and ask for a test drive with earplugs in. The sound can blur your judgement of road manners, steering, pedal feel, ‘pointyness’ - drive one before you think any more about it 😜

Thanks for your comments guys,
I have been thinking of letting the gt3 go for a little while, it's a fine piece of engineering however I feel I only smile in it when I am hitting 8k revs.. and that's not often on the roads!!
I'm sure a trip to the South of France would change that massively with some much needed mountain roads, however in the meantime a big V10 lump may suit me better for the driving I do...!

If your looking for something that gives a real sense of occasion and an event to drive even at slower speeds, I would probably try seek out a Gallardo Superleggera over a 50th Anniversary.
Good shout, I didn't really consider one of these as always assumed they was out of my price range.. seems they've fallen a little.Any idea if there much difference in tech from a earlier superleggera (2008) vs a 2014 560?
Ive a 50th and love it.Much more of an occassion than the Porsche and you wont tire of the noise.
I prefer mine over the Superleggerra due to the rarity factor alone. One of 100 worlwide cars and i think 16 in total in the UK.
I'm biased as mine has all the carbon and buckets which ive not seen in any other UK car.

the 560 is a much better car : quieter, smoother, more insulated, more refined, more cossetting, more mainstreamAny idea if there much difference in tech from a earlier superleggera (2008) vs a 2014 560?

I was chatting to a guy a few weeks ago looking to spend around £100k on something fun. Mentioned the usual suspects inc. a 570S. He just looked at me and said "Yea ... but it's a McLaren." I quite like them, but I'd rather have a Gallardo. Been tempted by an early 720S recently as they're so cheap compared to new but that also puts me off. Concerned about how cheap they'll become whilst I have one. Can't afford to lose another £50k+ on it in a year or two. For those of us without money to burn a G special edition is a safe bet. You also get a nice little badge in the window with the 50th anni, what more could you want.

Obviously I'm biased as I own one but I could have bought any gallardo and chose the best.....
Best power to weight of any gallardo
Super rare- only 10 UK white cars
Alcantra interior
Better steering feel as no front diff
Not that modern a chassis so you drive the car not a ECU
Fun at slower speeds as rwd
LP looks and rear spoiler
The superleggera will be faster due to extra grip, but that grip also means fun on public roads ain't happning

It has the 50th badge in the window and says it on the original invoice. Tbh, I didn't really know what the difference was when I bought it, I just wanted a facelift in Orancio Borealis. HR Owens sold it to me as a 50th though
Curios. Does it say 50th Editzone Limata or Just 50th? https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
There was the anniversario, and a facelift in 2013.... The article abov relates to the true anniversary edition
