That advert is so misleading! The car comes with a COD. Thats a certifcate of distruction. That means as far as the DVLA are concerned the car has been crushed. Then further down the advert they are telling buyers to aply for a log book! I am not even sure it could be used for spares? The old class A was crush only and no parts where allowed back on the road. Who ever signed the COD probably has no idea that some one is about to lose him his job!
So at the time a COD is issued, the car is officially condemned for good I presume? (or at least should be). What are they suggesting with the export comment?
With a COD issued can you ever get a V5 for this car? Presumably not? And therefore you could never properly insure or tax the car in whatever country this was exported to? So if one did export this car, presumably this could only be to a country where it is commonplace to ignore all legalities when it comes to not only the Cat B status, but also proof of ownership, and taxes and insurance?

the old insurance ratings were cat A all parts to be destroyed , cat B all parts can used for spares except chassis+ vin plates which are not allowed back on road V5 log-book cancelled at DVLA database, cat C normal repairable, any person applying to return a cat B would expect a visit from the Police Vehicle Department .remember the case in Birmingham a few years back when a dodgy guy had his road going cat B Ferrari crushed by the Police? .
The rating of the Cat is done by the insurance comany accessor. The fact it has a COD means that someone from a licenced breakers yard has signed to say they have witnessed the breaking up of this car. As we can see, that is not so. If the DVLA see that advert whatever salvage company that signed the COD could lose its Licence for buying damaged cars
