Selling to a dealership
Discussion
Have offered my car out to a few dealerships this past day or so.
I have a figure in my head they will achieve from sale, without giving too much away what sort of percentage below that can I expect to be offered (providing they indeed agree with my sale figure)?
Also, in regards to a Gallardo LP560 - I see much less coupes for sale, would that make them more sought after or would many prefer a spyder? I know when I bought I waited for months for the right coupe. Shame I never get to use it with a baby!

Are you offering them to purchase it directly from you or for them to retail to sell on a SOR basis?
The trade prices on these sort of cars are absolutely barbaric generally, usually around 10/15 percent less than retail value, you are better off selling SOR with a reputable dealer or a private sale to achieve the maximum return rather than a straight sale in my opinion.
Is 10-15% barbaric? At the top end of that range the dealer is making 18% GP before direct costs such as prep, warranty and commission? Operating a business in a small market with a high overhead base and significant working cap requirement? Sure, the absolute £ notes can seem painful to us as individuals but I’ve never thought the dealers were making out like bandits?
