Back in a Lambo.... Perf!
Discussion
Good to be back here!
Sold my Huracan over a year ago and sat on the side lines for a bit. I had an itch to scratch the past few weeks. Really wanted to try a 720s but couldn't live with the reliability concerns, tried ever so hard to want a 488 but could not get past the lack of noise.
Ended up doing a really good deal on the white Performante from Joe Macari with 650 miles on the clock - It's my absolute perfect spec!
Glad to be back in Lambo!

Lambos have always treated me well, loved my Huracan, LP560, Gallardo etc... I really did want to try something different but when comparing apples with apples I think Performante's in the 190's are actually quite good value when comparing with the competition in the current market.
I also absolutely love the noise. No need to consider any sort of change in that department which is nice. It's insane.

Congrats
What are they like to do business with? They normally price quite high I thought.
Joe is a character (I live a mile away so pop in occasionally)
I dealt with Franco who was happy to take my extremely low offer and put it to Joe, and we did a deal at quite a lot off the sticker price. What are they like to do business with? They normally price quite high I thought.

There are 4 or 5 white cars on the market all around the same money, I chose this one as it has everything ticked on spec, has PPF, and only done 650 miles as well.
Car was prepared beautifully, full tank of fuel, still has the boxes of original accessories (cover, charger, number plate holder, a few other boxes of gizmos), and they were happy to take it to Lamborghini London to do a mileage verification for me, as I heard huracans are very easy to clock!

Congrats, Matt - looks fabulous!Looks like there could be a few new Performantes cruising around Herts and Bucks this summer as I've just taken delivery of an Arancio Borealis (pearlescent orange) HP Spyder and I've also seen a noisy black HP coupe blasting around the local area a few times recently.

Two more in Herts as I've just sold my white Spyder to a friend and taken delivery of a Rosso Mars Spyder in its place
OK, so some dodgy maths coming up.... According to www.howmanyleft.co.uk there were a total of 219 Perfs (coupes and spyders) registered in the UK in 2017 and 2018; maybe add another 50(?) for the first few months of 2019. The HP spyder was only produced for about a year, so let's guess that a third of the UK registered HPs, i.e. around 80, were spyders and the rest were coupes. So Herts is blessed with lots of HPs!!

I'm not sure of the total number of coupes produced but I was informed that there are 585 Spyders globally.

What have you lot done front number plate wise?
On previous cars i've done all sorts, been without, odd sized, stuck on etc...
This car hasn't had the bracket fitted and I'm looking for options for a short(ish) plate on the front...
I read up on the legislation which states that the front plate needs to be mounted vertically "where practicable". Given the lack of a remotely suitable vertical surface at the front of the vehicle I figured it wouldn't be "practicable" to mount the plate vertically so it's attached horizontally on the shelf above the ALA vents. The dealership told me that many of their customers don't bother with a front plate, but most that do bother with one mount it horizontally like I have. On previous cars i've done all sorts, been without, odd sized, stuck on etc...

I haven't run a front number plate on any of my cars in the past eight years, I have only had one fine £100 which ironically was earlier this year.On previous cars i've done all sorts, been without, odd sized, stuck on etc...
