Hello all,

I need 2 front tyres on my Gallardo, my mechanic put 2 x 235/35/19 Pirelli P-zeros on nut they catch slightly on full lock. I realise now that I need the Lamborghini fitment, where do you guys usually source these?

I've seen these but they look too cheap:

Thanks.

There is absolutely no reason why your current tyres should be rubbing/catching. If they actually are then there is something wrong with your car, not the tyres! The “L” fitment tyres (there is a little, capital “L” moulded into the sidewall; that’s the only visible difference) have exactly the same dimensions. The difference is in the internal belting, tuned specifically for the weight of the vehicle and the torque transmitted by the 4WD set-up.

The plot thickens, it turns out that after 7 years ownership it has just been discovered that I have a rear wheel on the front of my car!

As the car has often been in other countries to me and I have paid people for the upkeep I am amazed this hasn't been discovered sooner. So now I need a Callisto 8.5J wheel and after just calling the dealer for a price I think I'm looking for a used one biggrin

Anyone know of any going?

How did that happen?

A 235 tyre on a 11J wheel would be quite stretched, and look noticeably different than the same tyre on the 8.5J wheel?

I literally have zero idea. Years ago I had to have a wheel replaced as it was buckled but the car was in Portugal and I was in the UK, the correct wheel was definitely ordered as I have the paperwork, it came directly from Lamborghini in Italy. The wheel in question would have been seen by at least 2 tyre places since that tyre was on and nobody has noticed.

I'm as clueless as everyone else as to how its happened and how it hasn't been picked up.

It hasn't got mixed up with one of your rears by any chance?!?!? Might be worth a look around the car just in case whoever put them on last didn't have a clue what they were doing and assumed they were the same size all round!! !

No that's the first thing the garage checked, it's all just a bit strange.
