I presume you have seen this performante crash at the weekend, but I wonder how this even happened?

If you watch in slo mo at the very end of the vid the car just pitches to right - surely it didn't so that without driver input on a dry day?

I'm surprised he lost it and surprised he couldn't recover it..

Having driven the Perf spyder and many 'soft-launches' in my G Perf my feeling is you'd have to be really trying to throw it away to end up so out of control - or some other factor came into play..??

What do you reckon?

TC off usually does that... but on the other hand it is 4wd... maybe a change of surface or something?

Based solely on my experience with my Performante the car is extremely difficult to upend.

Makes me think that it’s been a mixture of TC off and lift off oversteer.

I was at this event and saw the original video Sunday shortly after this happened.

To launch the perf you have to do it with the traction off, with cold tyres as like this was it will spin all four wheels when it changes into second.

You have to be ready for it and have lightening quick reactions. You can clearly see from the original video that unfortunately, this guy tried to correct it way to late by which time he was along for the ride.
