Hi,

Hankering after a Huracan after selling my 458 a while ago. Have seen one for sale with a full 1016 industries carbon kit (https://www.1016industries.com/huracan-lp610/) that part of me thinks I shouldn't like, but the other part likes very much.

I'm casually aware of supercar depreciation and the dealer/retail spread, but am new to any kind of aftermarket modifications to a supercar. Would a full 1016 kit put off a lot of dealers (particularly main dealers) assuming I wanted to exit in 1-2 years? Assuming I wanted to get the Lamborghini warranty - would that rule that out?

On the subject of warranties - what are Lamborghini warranties like? I had an "interesting" experience with my shocks on my 458, which was under the Ferrari warranty.

Thanks in advance smile

I guess it in part depends how far you go with it and how 'reversible' it is. I went for the:

- rear wing which meant removing a part of the bodywork and replacing it - it's therefore a simple swap back if required.
- front splitter - this is a bit more tricky as its glued on, so I would imagine its removal could be a little untidy and may necessitate a new piece of bodywork at the front end, but I am only speculating.

The cost of the kit is quite significant so it is worth thinking about. And my one piece of advice is that if you do anything at the front, then get a clear wrap on it. I simply didn't think - which is daft given the rest of the car is wrapped - and only got it done after a couple of pea shots on the front splitter. So they're there forever now which is really quite frustrating (I did suggest to Mulgari who did it that it wouldn't be a bad idea to advise customers to get the front wrapped at the time of fitment).

Anyway, the car looks excellent and I'm very happy with it. It was also my way of avoiding a change i.e. spend enough and you can't justify even with man maths a reason for change!

Be better off going the Performante route IMO.

Looking at that kit I think I saw a Vlogger who had installed the same one to his Hurracan and it was all reversible by design.

Reversible if you have the original parts I guess. The car I was looking at appears to just have the whole thing fitted to it, with no mention of the OEM parts. frown

I should preface this by saying that I've only started looking at Huracans today, and have had no prior Lambo ownership experience.

I saw this car when looking for mine. To be honest I felt you were paying quite a lot for the body kit. Mine is main dealer, slightly less on mileage at 14k, same age and a very similar spec (but doesn't have mag ride) and I got it for £145k.

Thanks. It does seem that the price is equivalent to newer cars. I'm not entirely sure that I'm totally sold on the idea of significant mods on a supercar either, only because whilst I don't really care about depreciation I don't want to limit the market in an eventual sale.

Guess I would be better off spending some time working out what I need to know about Huracans and pricing generally before getting too carried away. Always difficult when you have an itch you want to scratch...

Nice looking car. Helps that it's in black so that the carbon doesn't clash too much.

Might be wrong but corner of bonnet just in front of driver seems to stand proud of the adjacent front wing.

Good eye. You can see that in the profile photo of the wheel too. And yes, because it's black the naked carbon doesn't stand out so much, but at the same time still has that bonkers element to it. It is the antithesis of what drew me to the 458, but I keep looking at it. smile

Tbf I think that looks pretty good! You could comfortably spend £20k on the carbon if you were to add it on yourself, so quite how that sits in your equation is for you to decide.

I see the suggestion of a Performante, but that means digging a bit deeper in the pocket. I considered this - had a slot to switch my existing Huracan for it - but decided I wouldn't get the benefit for the hit that I'd take. I'd also had my Huracan for only 18mths when this would have happened - plus I'd had centre locks and a race exhaust fitted at some expense (along with the 1016 stuff), so I'm fairly deeply in. And don't regret a single penny of it!

Same car ;-)
All reversible.
Comes with all the normal body parts....I think.
Just had a lot of money spent on it at service.

That's good. Put the proper fitting bonnet on it then and away you go.
