I rang them up when it first came up, they didn't get back to me about the clutch reading and doesn't have full lambo history and mileage is too high for my liking.

Unreal. These cars, as with most cars, do better for being driven. Sitting around in a garage or just doing short trips does them no good at all. 27k over 10 years is chaff all for god’s sake.

You buy a 10 year old car with a couple of thousand miles and you’ll be in a world of st if you dared start using it, as all those parts that are suddenly being asked to work again get woken from their slumbers.

What is the point in buying cars like this if not to drive them? Please help me out?

its a personal preference. I have many cars in storage that I drive occasionally through out the year. if they are stored properly then there is no harm.

these were the previous plates attached to this car

11 JPN
M11 YLS
RF62 OGE
KAR15X

current owner owned it since 2015 and registered in nov 2012. mot and stuff tallies up with ownership etc, waiting for SH now

looks like this was owned by directors of business and last keep was based in hemel heampsted.

any one on here owned this car before?

hi ash

never dealt with top gear cars but always thought their stock looked high quality when ive looked at the classifieds this last 9 years

their car looks lovely.... look at the drivers seat side bolsters... hardly a ripple in the leather, so very careful owners i would say, yes this is mileage sensitive but also dependant on how much care is taken getting in and out...

it has heated seats, lift and camera, as you know already, and the two tone interior with quilted stitching is a real bonus

get your ticket booked and go take a look, glwp

the service history is a bit odd.

Apparently Lamborghini Edinburg lost the service book so another is being created, had two services at castle motors down south of England, no paperwork apart from parts for the service parts being brought from lambo.

Also the front bumper was painted and it’s obvious it was painted apparently

So I’m waiting hd video of pics and full
Clarification of service history and then make the trip

got the video, looks like its in good condition apart from the gap between the front bumper and the wing. there is more gap towards the corner than there is around the side repeator.

also spoke to lambo Edinburgh and they confirmed they had only seen this car during pre delivery inspection and never again. they have no knowledge of it being on their stock list or selling it to top gear.

so this vehicle has sketchy history, mot miles confirm the miles, but it doesn't make sense why this vehicle would have gone to castle motors within the first few years when it warranty. also lambo losing the service history.

what if lambo obtained this and realised it had sketchy history then passed it on as they wouldn't be able to sell it as approved vehicle. and now service history is being made up to sell the vehicle lol

am i looking too deep lol

I went through a similar history search for my Gallardo, had FLSH in stamps but no paperwork. Turns there are 2 Lambo franchises - Sytner and HR Owen. Called one of the Sytner ones and they confirmed the car had been serviced with a mix between the 2 franchises. All I had to do then was to pay a small fee to get them to reprint the invoices with the customer details and the prices tippex'd out. I got the HRO ones for free as I serviced the car there.

You were lucky. When I contacted Lamborghini Edinburgh (who have carried out 5 services on my car) . I was told that they could not supply any copy invoices, even with names and addresses removed, due to GDPR!!!!! Any way around this nonsense?

Ask Lamborghini Italy. They always call me when I get a Lambo service and ask how it went, so they know some details. Perhaps they can supply info or send a rocket up the Dealership....

I’m not really into Lambo’s but am friends with Carlo who owns Topgear cars. You won’t find a more knowledgeable and enthusiastic lambo guy so would have thought you’d get a really great feel for the car by giving him a call.

Lambo Edinburg protect their wealthy clients as I enquired about a car that belonged to wealthy women owner and soon as I gave the reg they gave me the gdpr line, however, this car they told me they only seen it for pdi.

I’ve spoken to Carlo and been exchanging emails and has provided me with what I have asked for.

I have been a mechanic for 17 years and have extensive experience working on high end cars so when I go to view a car i know what I am looking for and can find faults etc easily. Even the slightest panel out of line I can pick up.
I’ve inspected cars at lambo Delearship advertised as mint but I found poor paint work with drips.

It’s not Carlos fault the car has sketchy history, it had pdi and service at 2300 at lambo, after that no lambo history , just 2 servicing at castle motors and one by Carlo,, however , there is no record of clutch reading on these services.

This leads me question why it wasn’t serviced at lambo for my piece of mind.

Only thing left now is for me too book a flight and give the car once over.

The car has been on sale for almost a year, may be the history is putting people off

For “can’t because of GDPR” they mean “we were so unprepared for GDPR we didnt ask IT for a simple system enhancement to permit history printing with name and address details removed”

Every time they press the button they could have charged punters £20 or more

If that's what you are thinking then why spend any more time looking into it? This will be in the back of your mind no matter what so why continue to waste everyone's time?
