Superleggera: Time for Tyres, Corsas, Cups 2, PS4S... ?
Discussion
Need to replace the tyres on my Gen 1 Superleggera. Its had the P Zero Corsas which were fine but felt quite average (probably because they are a bit old now - am changing them due to age rather than mileage). Car is only really used when its dry and in warmer months and in a spirited manner so not looking for winter or high wet performance tyre - .
I have considered a potential change and have looked in to Michelin PS4S and the Sport Cup 2s -
Anyone out there tried these and have any feedback ?
Cost is not so much an issue although the Corsas with the L are around £1400, Cup 2s around £970, and PS4S £750
Cheers

If you want to go Pirelli again only go for the Trofeo R.
Michelins the Sport 4 S is the best everyday tyre, I run them on my G and it really lets you push on.
Cup2 is another option which is even better than the 4S in the warm and dry, however require more care when not upto temp or in the wet.
Depends how you like to drive, I was tempted to go Cup2 again but settled on 4S just for the "everyday" aspect in rain or shine as my G is a daily driver.

Put Cup 2s on my 550-2 and has massively improved turn in but at noticeable ride stiffness due to the sidewalls. Cold and wet however they are a bit scary...I have considered a potential change and have looked in to Michelin PS4S and the Sport Cup 2s -

Toyo 888R - not that expensive, massive grip, bit noisy on the road and they pick up a lot (very sticky) massively better than Corsas, ran both on the GT3RS and there is no comparison. Very firm side walls so not a lot of grip
have a set on my speedlines - new last year, circa £1000,
they are road legal track tyre. not dreadful in the wet, have been on track in Porsche in the wet with them and once warm are ok,

I ended up putting on Michelin PS4S - they are better than the older Pirelli P Zero Corsas for grip and also better tyre in the wet and cold.
As for the suggestion of Toyo r888 or r888r - I do not recommend those for a road car. I use these on my trackcar and they are great. They are terrible on standing water and winter temperatures.
