Hello all,

I ordered some Gallardo wiper blades but they have the wrong fixing. The ones I have, have a hole in them so you just slide them on.

Does anyone know where to buy these from without paying the ridiculous dealer prices?

Thanks.

Yup! The set that you want is the AeroTwin set, A949S, usually available off he shelf at Halfrauds. And £22 from Amazon. They’re a Mercedes fitment, but they ARE the correct blades.

OK so I ordered a set of the A949s blades from Amazon but I don't think they fit correctly.

The hole that the wiper arm sits in seems to be on the wrong side, the result is that the blade is pressed so hard into the screen that the blade bends and a large part of it doesn't touch the screen at all.

I have uploaded a pic (ignore the dirt) that shows that the indent for the wiper arm seems to be on the wrong side, the wiper should surely be pressing on the lower part of the blade and not the higher part. I cant swap it around as the hole is only on one side.

Anyone else came across this before?

Errrrr.... you’ve fitted them on backwards........

The land (the cut-down, flat bit of the plastic mount) is there for the metal wiper arm to seat into.

You have bought a set that corresponds to the position of your steering wheel (LHD or RHD) haven’t you?

ps: Sorry, but I can’t pop out and take a snap of mine as the car is thirty miles away with its engine in several hundred pieces. But that IS the right blade set; I’m on about my fourth set in the sixty-plus thousand miles that I’ve covered in the last five-and-a-half years.

You got me, I have a LHD so thats the issue. Is there any chance of picking a LHD set up in UK?

Recall when I had my Gallardo spyder, the river side wiper from a ford focus / galaxy fitted perfectly...
