This is really aimed at those that have an existing updated system.

So just bought an 07 Gallardo Spyder. It doesn’t have a camera (I can’t park like an adult) or phone set up plus I’m a fan of Spotify.

I had an all singing Kenwood in my Porsche with apple play but if I get something similar in the Lambo will it remove the info on the dash where it gives out warnings / what egear number is engaged / etc ?

(Yes I also enjoy the exhaust before I’m criticised 😁)

Any help will be appreciated

Have a look at the Alpine Freestyle range. It can certainly control stuff like factory climate control so may be able to do what you need

Lamborghini do a official alternative might be worth thinking about price depending. A rear view camera can be added to this.

Hardly a genuine accessory it’s an alpine ILX 700 range unit which is two steps down from the freestyle range that I mentioned. If that can handle all the stuff the OP mentioned then I would be putting my money on an alpine freestyle of the correct size to fit

already spoke to Lambo about that. Its no different to the non OEM one

all replacements will lose you the nav instructions on the DIS but other than that everything works fine

incidentally, camera, aux in, and bluetooth are easy adds to the OEM unit

Mark, I’m utterly useless at tech. I can just about use this site lol

My car has Bluetooth phone set up but I can’t see any aux port. Any help would be great.

Hi Adz man

I know you replied to my thread below but thought best to answer here.

Changing the headunit dose mean that you lose the vehicle related information the unit displays, information on the cluster remains the same except for any audio info that is displayed (non that I am aware of)

The kit shown above that is available from Lamborghini service is nice (it’s what our kit is based from) but the headunit they include is now an older model (it’s a Pioneer from quite a few years back)

The Alpine Freestyle unit really isn’t necessary on the Gallardo as it has a double din opening available.

Reverse camera can be added to the Pioneer unit, really improves rear visibility, the aftermarket units also give the option to upgrade further down the line, interms of audio (speakers, amplifier subwoofer etc)

If you wish, shot me an email - Bill@AVALimited.co.uk
