I have a 12 plate LP560 first registered and declared new in April 2012. V5 all checks out OK. My problem is, when I enter the reg. no. in the DVLA vehicle check website, the car comes up as a 2010. I believe this to be an error as the VIN decodes as a 2012 car and the manufacturer's warranty started in 2012. Anyone had any similar problems? From previous experience, i have found DVLA difficult and slow to deal with and when I contact them, I would like to get it right first time. Any guidance on how to do this and what documents to supply would be greatly appreciated.
Also is there 'build date sticker' anywhere on the car? i know some manufacturers do have them

the letter before the LA0nnnn at the end of the VIN tell's you the model year it was made in.
A=2010 (Sept 2009 to August 2010)
C=2012 (Sept 2011 to August 2012)
D=2013 (Sept 2012 to August 2013)

You can ask a dealer to provide a Spec sheet for the car - cost is around the £1k mark I believe - happy to be corrected on the cost.

Oh yes. Because a chap from the Dealer has to catch a plane to Italy, then a train to Sant Agata and then a taxi to Lamborghini HQ, in order to rifle through the Library. Once located, the spec sheet is photocopied and then the journey reversed. Under these circumstances 1k seems reasonable....

tbh it's mainly the cost of a dozen blonde virgins on horseback, who relay forth the scroll from sant'agata

Blonde virgins are a rarity in Italy. More likely Raven Haired virgins...

does it say 2010 or 2012 anywhere on the V5.

If it does it might be easier to correct by sending in the v5 and a covering letter?

Worth a try before you spend 1k on a piece of paper.
