Anyone know this car, or can provide any background on the whole P1-P5 thing?

I think it means car 3 of 5 in that colour batch.

Probably doesn’t mean anything as pretty much every panel has been replaced to make it look like an LP560.

Surely only a collector's if still in original guise, not as a lp clone, even if original body parts etc

LP Mods have destroyed the integrity of the original P3 SE car and therefore it’s future value to collectors. Collectors prefer originality.

For less than the £135k asking price or whatever it gets (reference P1), you will get into a very nice LP Superleggera or Performante which will be a much newer car (2011-2013), probably lower mileage, although that in itself is less of an issue with these than say a Ferrari, and much more sorted. They are also fewer in numbers than standard cars and therefore do carry some of the exclusivity too.

..or if you want a rare Gallardo (rarer than SE or a Balboni), go with a Nera. lick

WTF? Dogs dinner of an old Gallardo in LHD with not-low mileage and a batch of add-ons. I will bow to those with greater knowledge but would have thought that was a £70k car.
