Hi...
I've been looking for a manual Gallardo, wasn't initially interested in a Spyder, however came across this one:
https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...
I've bought from Ian Cameron previously, he's more Porsche oriented but starting to get a few different marques through his doors.
Need advice on how this one looks spec-wise for the price, good and bad points etc. Also if the price is about right.
Also, the inevitable question, setting aside Brexit Armageddon.... where are these in the depreciation curve? This one has decently low mileage, if I kept for say two years where would a trade bid be (ish)? Low to mid 80's?
Don't mind the running costs, have had F430 & 458 so I am used to servicing costs etc, but have no gauge on the values down the line.
Cheers

Are manual cars really sort after and selling... You'll know from the classifieds...if you been looking...
Currently
04 cars are at 67
06 on spiders are 90 to 100
The cheapest LP is 140
Is an LP car worth 40 more, no
The car you link to is nice, but I'd take the black one at 5k less... A tf cars... It's interior is so much nicer... It has double the miles but, is an 08... The orange car is 06, higher miles and horrible interior so not value at 90
Is a manual worth 10k ISH more than an e gear.. will it hold its value better... How long is a price of string.... I think more people are harking after more connected cars at slower speeds, and certainly over 2 years a 10k drop is likely to be the max

OP, are you buying this as an investment vehicle? (Excuse the pun) or something in which to have fun, drama, thrills? I would suggest that the Gallardo delivers on the latter in spades and would not be right for the former.
If you get one, sod worrying about what it may or may not be worth in 2 years time, life is too short. Jump in and drive! The value is in the smiles per mile.

Definitely not an investment...I don't think any car can be bought with this in mind with what's looming in the next year or so. Having said that, I do think carefully about purchases and as rarity breeds value am looking for something that has a good chance of not dropping significantly over my ownership...
I'm more interested in spec on this car really, is there anything significant missing?

No lift and I thought service intervals are annual or 7500 miles. A few years missing in the SH, which wouldn’t necessarily be an issue provided nothing bad came up in any inspection, which I would recommend you get. HR Owen will do inspections at around £450 I believe, which given the cost of the car is well worth doing unless being sold through a franchise dealer already where it would be done through Approved Scheme anyway.

We're there any significant engine / spec changes from 2007 to 2008 cats I should be aware of?
sant'agata always tinker around during the summer shutdownWe're there any significant engine / spec changes from 2007 to 2008 cats I should be aware of?
so the "2008" cars produced after the summer 2007 shutdown ( including mine ! ) may have a few small improvements, but nothing major that i'm aware of
