Anyone Got an Order in for a Lamborghini Performante Spyder
Discussion
I am considering treating myself to a Lamborghini Performante Spyder which is due for official release at Geneva Motor show shortly.
Interested to know what delivery times have been quoted to you. I have done some research and the range is from late Q4 2018 to to April 2019, and there seems to be a consensus that post Geneva this will increase again, as this will help gain a view on residuals.
Any thoughts appreciated, as well as ideas for spec to ensure appeals to broadest market on resale.
Thank you.

Put a deposit down about 9 mths ago and was quoted as early '19. Subsequently changed my mind though and have kept what I have. Emotionally it'd be great, but I've had mine modified somewhat and only done 2000 miles in it, so despite the emotional pull, the financials on it would be utterly mental.
Placed Deposit at same time as I did on the coupe so about 9 months ago now. Was told Q4 2018 delivery of the spyder whilst coupe is finally in the country next week weather permitting.
Fewer deposits down on spyder than coupe so lead times may be shorter but production time run will also be less and alongside coupe before gen II Huracan comes on

I was quoted Sep / October '18 delivery.... Euro spec.
I am tempted but I don't see any reason why it won't depreciate at least £50 - £60K in 3 years.... too rich for my blood so I think I'm going to wait it out and pick up a used one .
Will be an awesome car for sure!
Where did you come up with those ridiculous numbers from??? The HP spyder will not drop by that much in 3 years, in fact the spyder is going to be rarer than the coupe and in 3 years the replacement H will be coming out which will not have a NA V10. You expect it to depreciate more?
Less. It'll probably be the last high performance track focused version of the H with a NA V10. There is rumors of a possible ST road version but it'll be extremely limited and expensive. IF interest rates go up, it will have a real impact on the market.

Response:
I would tend to agree with you on all the points. I dont think it will depreciate as much as 50-60k, far less in fact, and interest rates will rise, but not enough in my opinion to dent the market, given this is a heart/brain decision. Interest rates would need to rise a lot for the brain to win the argument. But I do see depreciation, but more modest.
If this is going to be the last NA car then it may make sense to get a later car as fun/investment ? I have a deposit down, just delay delivery (original plan was to get a quick delivery car, drive it 12 months and sell in summer)
Decisions,. decisions...
PS - really useful as Im new to this world of supercar ownership. Thank you.

mate has one on order - said delivery expected early July.
Going to drive him down to pick it up......I'm almost as excited as he is!
Response:
I would be interested to know if your mate is well known/loyal to Lambourghini as that is the earliest delivery time I have heard of, so assume he must be. Lucky him to have it for summer and will be one of the first cars.
Thank you

Well the Lambo dealer here in Dubai has 2 nicely specced new cars in stock both priced at GBP 260k. He also said I could have the 4 months 7k kms demonstrator I test drove for GBP 200k. So if that's anything to go by, the above numbers look a bit generous.
Can't compare cross continent prices. Everyone in Dubai has a fleet of flash cars, they are 2 a penny !RamboLambo said:
Catch Up Ferrari man ! is a phrase most Lambo owners are used to by now, so don't worry
I had a good laugh at this - its the Rari Lambo aggro thing - love it. In reality, both are works of art, painted with different strokes. Thanks again for the input, you seem the 'go to expert' for all things Lambo. Thank you.
