Performante Options ...
Discussion
Hi all,
Who here has ordered a Performante? I am deliberating about ordering magentic ride option. From what I understand this is fixed to the driving modes, so unfortunately you cant set soft suspension settings and Corsa mode. Does anyone drive on Corsa mode on the road though?
And what colours and specs have you chosen?
Thanks.

Magneto-rheologic suspension is a must IMHO but its the Dynamic steering LDS which purists suggest you avoid as it continuously varies according to the cars dynamics. Personally I prefer a consistent feel to the steering
I would imagine most people will drive the car in sport/strada mode on the road and save corsa for the track as its probably too stiff and aggressive for normal road conditions .

Ha, great choice of colour. I went to Lambo Edinburgh for the Performante and Aventador S launch and their demo Performante is in Giallo Inti, it looks fabulous even compared to the launch colour matte orange, which was also there. Look forward to seeing photos of your cars once they have arrived in the UK.
I wanted the laser etching and the dark chrome package as well. I think these both look good but I had to draw the line somewhere and I think you are right the laser may be a bit much in yellow. Also I think these two options in particular are really bad value for money (to the extent that you can call anything value for money at this level )
My understanding on the floor-mats, which after all, is a pretty serious concern!!!
It is after all, probably the one item to separate a "chronic box-ticker", from a "sensible decision maker"
So, please chime in if I'm wrong, but:
1) Standard fare are neoprene, with grey edging.
2) If you have ordered contrast stitching, you get neoprene with the correct colour edging.
3) £600 get you Performante mats, I believe with the laser etching pattern and Performante embroidered. They may be carpet???

It's a very serious concern indeed. Can only recall seeing two options for mats. It is after all, probably the one item to separate a "chronic box-ticker", from a "sensible decision maker"

But I am pretty sure the carpet ones that I think are branded are £1200. Makes it an easy decision when you think that's only a tenth of the price of a ad personam colour.
My understanding was the £500 ones were a hard material, not sure what but certainly not carpet, but with the laser engraving pattern on them. When I went to get in the demo with them I immediately lost my footing as my shoes slid on the firm base. I wouldn't of ordered them for that reason even if they were free.
My order form says standard carpet mats FOC so I guess I'm either a cheapskate or a wise decision maker ?. Answers on a postcard are not required

Got to have sports bucket seats on a Performante. Never get a track focussed car with comfort seats
Have you sat in one with the bucket seats?Perhaps there are people out there who are bent to that shape, I'm not one of them despite finding the Gallardo bucket seats very comfortable.
Dealer told me that specifying the (comfort) standard seats wouldn't have a hit on residuals.

Got to agree with rl here. Perhaps there are people out there who are bent to that shape, I'm not one of them despite finding the Gallardo bucket seats very comfortable.

I disagree ... it’s like specing a GT3 RS with comfort seats ... blasphemy on a track car!
The comfort seats wouldn’t hold you well around a track. Just lack of lateral support especially around the shoulders.
I also don’t find the sports seats as uncomfortable as people make out.
Anyway ultimately I suppose it’s how you are going to use the car. For me a comfort car would be a non-starter on the 2nd market.
