There is a pretty large spread between prices for what look like similar cars. I went to look at the Joe Macari car this morning which looked in great condition.
Does condition and history give rise to the £13,000 spread in prices?
£67,997 - AT Performance - 44,000 - Orange
£69,990 - TOP GEAR Cars - 37,000 - Black
£69,993 - GP Cars - 39,000 - Black
£74,950 - DT Performance Cars - 26,000 - Yellow
£74,995 - Shaks Specialist Cars - 48,000 -Grey
£74,995 - The Super Car Rooms - 41,000 - White

just looking at those prices and not the cars or adverts its only really the macari car and maybe the AT car that confuse things, the rest are circa 70-75kDoes condition and history give rise to the £13,000 spread in prices?

as ever condition, service history, and owners should effect price, and colour normally but the cheapest car is orange strangely.
you are right. Its probably £75k to get you a good one.

went down same road 3 years ago ....... and then a little bit more gets you an LP which is 3 ? years newer ..... and a little more than that gets you a 550-2 even newer, suddenly spending 90 instead of 70 is the "right" thing to do
That would be my view.Spending £75k - £80k on an early car when a small % more gets you in a far newer model seems madness. 5 years ago when a 2004 was "only" 6 - 7 years old and circa £55k - £60k and later cars £120k it might have made sense. Now when a 2004 with 40k+ plus miles is £75k and a 2008 LP circa £100k its a no-brainer.

but then if your spending £100k why not get a Mclaren Mc12 4c?
first world problems i know but budget creep isnt ideal and the extra 25k is a fair chunk.
Well there is that....first world problems i know but budget creep isnt ideal and the extra 25k is a fair chunk.
And whilst £25k is a fair chunk, come resale I would be more comfortable with a 2008 - 2010 car in terms of relative value. Cost per year and all that. That said, the bonkers way of the market at the minute a 2004 G will probably be £150k next year. When a Capri is £50k and a F348 £60k you know the market is mad.

Because:
1) MP4-12C does not come in Manual
2) McLaren is not as much fun as a Lambo. Technologically better and faster yes, but enjoyment... no.
3) MP4-12C does not come in Manual
But the 12C is far better looking, far rarer, has a much nicer interior and is much faster, much more fun and it's not made by Audi.1) MP4-12C does not come in Manual

A gallardo is a lovely car and I really want a yellow manual one.
