I am in the market for a Cayman GTS, and last night started looking at Boxster GTS's too. They seem great cars and pretty much new, but the 60K mark also brings this into play. I know its always prefered to get a 2006 but as this is a manual will it suffer from the short clutch life?

Also it will be mostly a weekend car, or the wife and i might take it to work and back now and again, i think the Porsche would be easier for the wife to drive.

What are you opinions?

Manual would be better pre-VW. You won't lose much on the G but running costs will be massively different. If you're spending all your money on the car then don't buy a Lambo. Running one on a tight-budget isn't fun and detracts from the ownership enjoyment.

Thanks, not spending all our money no, have a life lol. I'll go see it, what would be the annual budget not including brakes, tyres etc.
